Founder & Partner

As a founding partner at BaySide Media, Patricia is one of the driving forces behind our content strategy and business. She builds strong relationships with clients, drives new business, and creates effective, engaging content.

Patricia’s writing expertise includes networking, cybersecurity, data center, cloud, AI, and IoT for enterprise, solution provider, and service provider markets. She develops content for major brands and fast-growth startups.

Prior to BaySide Media, Patricia was VP/publisher of CMP Media’s InternetWeek, editor-in-chief of Network Computing, and editor-in-chief of LAN Magazine. She holds a B.A. in Computer Science from Columbia College, Columbia University.

Hanna Hurley

Founder & Partner

As a co-founder of BaySide Media, Hanna leads and directs multiple media, social, and content projects. She keeps a close eye on the technology shifts and new companies that pop up in the San Francisco Bay Area and other technology hubs.

Prior to launching BaySide Media, Hanna was a technology writer and executive editor for multiple weekly and monthly publications. She has an extensive background in writing and creating campaigns for business, enterprise, and channel audiences. Her favorite projects involve speaking directly to customers about their experiences with technology.

AI, machine learning, IoT, data analytics, automation, and sustainability are among the many technologies that Hanna tracks regularly. Her expertise is visible on SAP blogs, the Channel Company’s custom websites, Juniper content resources, and on the globally ranked IoT Integrator Wire podcast for Intel.

Outside of BaySide Media, Hanna enjoys cycling, cold plunges, gardening, and the cello. She holds a BA in English from Western Kentucky University.

Melanie McMullen

Founder & Partner

As one of the founding partners at BaySide Media, Melanie is one of the driving forces behind editorial and business strategies. She builds strong relationships with key clients and drives new business opportunities, ensuring every project meets the highest standards.

Melanie’s writing expertise covers AI, IoT technology, data analytics, robotics, and cloud computing. She has developed content for major brands such as Google Fitbit, Facebook, SAP, Intuit, Hewlett-Packard Enterprise, and AllBusiness.com. Additionally, she co-hosted the globally ranked IoT Integrator Wire podcast for Intel.

Prior to launching BaySide Media, Melanie was the editor-in-chief of Internet Magazine and LAN Magazine and wrote business and finance articles for The Daily Deal in NYC. She holds a BA in Journalism from Texas State University, where she was captain of the Women’s Swimming team and an NCAA All-American. Outside of her professional life, Melanie is a wife, mom, local award-winning photographer, and dedicated volunteer at Christ Episcopal Church and the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) team in Alameda, CA.
